Today's sketches of household items. Sometimes I just want to draw. The days are going by so fast. I really can't wait for the spring.
Looking forward to plein air painting. If anyone can give me some tips on equipment I would appreciate it, I have equipment on back order.

  4. These are lovely lovely drawings! It's such a treat to see what other painters sketch in their books. There are spikes that go on the bottom of easel legs that would be handy if you're at the beach or in a breeze. I haven't test-driven mine yet.

  5. Liz, I just ordered the plein air easel and the works, umbrella, etc. It is on back order. It is similar to the Julian easel. Do you have any
    preference that you could recommend?

  6. I have a Julian 1/2 box, and I don't remember where I got the spikes. Probably from an on-line sale. They're pretty generic, though, and Jerrys, Blick, etc. have them under French easel spikes. Can't wait to see your "gear" and plein air paintings! Very fun!

  7. Thanks Liz, I'll check it out. Called ASW, was told it may take a week to a month. That's ok, I can wait. NY weather isn't that great right now.
