Joan, these are lovely! Was it my black and white value studies that spurred you on? I often find it easier to translate the landscape and edit compositions by using just one colour and value. W&N make a colour called neutral tint which is great for this.....it's not as blue as paynes grey and is a warm kind of grey.Thanks for mentioning in your post.
