What a thrill, painting plein air, with lovely ladies from the SBAA. We painted at the Long Island Museum of American Art grounds in Stony Brook. It was my first time painting with other artist, first time away from my own back yard.

  1. Yay Joan! The plein air bug has got you!! I look forward to your adventures outdoors. :)
I always say I'm going to work on it later...sigh.
I think sometimes the first impression is better than when I try to 'fix' it or finish it later.
If you work on this, will you show us? It's a great start for sure.

  2. Hi Karen, I'm laughing as I write this. Just posted the painting I did today. Karen it need lots of work. But I have to say, the plein air bug has got me!!!. It felt so good being out there with other artist. The people didn't bother me at all. Half the time I wasn't aware they were standing behind me. Next week we go to Sayville. Can't wait.

    Have a great night.
