pen and ink

pen and ink and water wash. Haven't had the time to paint this week. After visiting my friend Laurie's blog, I thought it would be fun just to do a pen dipped in India ink and then brushed with water. If you want to see some beautiful oriental brush painting visit Laurie's blog. She also does beautiful work in acrylic.

  1. oh Joan I love it! Simple and yet really atmospheric and strong in terms of values. And I know what you mean about not painting much in the past few days!

  2. Lovely. It's nice to meet another artist! Especially one who enjoys ink like I do.
