Snow Scene

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I just want to wish everyone a happy holiday.

4x6 snow scene of my favorite subject to paint. East Setauket bridge. Just wanted to paint snow, so I did this from my memory.

  1. Hi Joan.
Lovely painting with lovely colours. Doing a
painting from memory is, I`ve found, very hard
to do. I simply have`to have the subject
infront of me, whether plain air or photo. But
memory wise, no go for me, so well done my friend, and all the best Joan.
    Vic.

  3. Hi Joan,
it seems to me this oil has a dreamlike quality to it, and a very romantic bridge.

  4. Hello Joan,
I noticed you as a new follower on my blog. I feel honored to have wonderful artists following my new venture into blog land and oil painting.
I love your use of color in your landscapes and to be able to paint from memory is amazing. I don't think I will attempt it!
    Happy Thanksgiving

  7. Hi Karen, I can't wait to see the snow. I think you seem to get more of that beautiful white stuff in Chicago. Will you be painting plein air or from photos? Have a great day.
