The Little Boat

I can't believe this little 5x7 could be so difficult to paint. Thank you Karen Phipps, her tonal study is something I forget when I focus too much on other elements. Just by adding more of the dark and light tones it helped. As for the boat, next time I will pay more attention to a better photo of boats.

  2. Hi Joan! It's great to see you are still working so steadily. Everything looks terrific. And I LOVE the Little Boat...doesn't look like a tub at all! Beautiful work.

  4. Hi Joan,
Great work! Love it, actually does not look like a bath tub, is one of those small boats young boy build by themself on the cheap, but it float and give immense pleasure to the spirit in those wonderful summer days !

  6. Hi Joan. This is a lovely painting. So calm and restful. Although I see the yachts going along nicely, it is still feels calm to me. Well done my friend. All the best.
