In My Studio

The process. The photo, a black and white study and then color. It always amazes me how every step is so important. I was watching one Alex Perez's videos. There is so much to learn. I love his process of laying in color then going back a few days later to add more glazes, not to mention his wonderful brushwork.

I am learning so much from all of you wonderful artist.

  1. Hi Joan,
your progress photos are interesting, and it came out a nice painting, stay worm it seems too cold to go plain air. I like bettert plain air, but studio work, from photo, print or computer screen can be rewarding as well.

  3. Hi Mariano, thank you. I keep looking out the window and I just can't do it, go out there and paint. You are right about working from photo's in the studio. It will have to do for now, until the nice weather returns. Happy painting and I will be looking forward to your next painting.
