Peony in my garden

8x10 oil on panel
I painted this in my garden. I used my Tom Brown pochade.

It was wonderful being outdoors and just enjoying the day.

  6. Hi again Joan!... Another winner for "You"! Love the muted colour... but the effective interplay... using lost and found edges!Superb!

Your choice and application of background colour really creates a nice warm backdrop... for your brights! Good stuff my dear!

    Good painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  8. Samantha, thank you. Yes I am very lucky to have these in my garden. My fathers gave me this plant so many years ago. It actually took 3 years to produce one flower. Now I have them in abundance. Have a great day.
