Field of Daisys

5x7 quick sketch of a daisy field. When leaving the boat basin , this lovely scene was just outside of the gate. I will make a few corrections, tone down the distant barn and also the distant line where the trees meet the field. Happy Painting everyone.

  1. Great work, Joan!
Love how the horizon is curved,
and is the center of attention.

Your work is always so inspiring. I WILL get onto some oils one day. I miss that nice buttery feel of the oil paint.

  4. I too love fields of flowers...was just painting one today! For me those darker brownish spots of daises are so important in that corner...really nice!

Thank you for stopping by, I appreciate your comment. Wasn't to sure about the horizon line, but it actually looked that way. So thank you again, maybe I will leave it alone. Have a great day.

  11. I love, I love, I love a red barn. See how the fence leads the eye right into the picture over the fields to that focal point!
