My Favorite Tree

On Monday, I began a plein air ritual. Painting and completing a painting outdoors. I want to train my eye to see and paint the light and shadows. It was left as is, and I will continue to include this practice at least some of the time.

Tomorrow is another outdoor gathering at the Meadow Croft Vineyard. Today it was the Mascot Marina. I will finish those plein air works in the studio.
Happy painting everyone.

  3. I wish I had such discipline to paint outdoors! Perhaps when the weather cools - a lot! Anyway, this is a nice painting with beautiful soft edges. Lovely color palette.

  5. Hi Friend Joan!... "You" will never regret the effort and challenges that you have undertaken here!

The greatest "teacher" always... "has your back" when outdoor painting Joan!

Just do like the railway sign says:

    STOP!....LOOK!... LISTEN!

    Then...PAINT!!!! Look twice!! Paint once!

    Have fun Joan!

    Good painting and Summertime Dreamin',
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

What I love about blogging and sharing our post with kindred souls is developing new friendships. I appreciate your comments and encouragement. And yes, how important it is to stop, look, and listen to be one with nature. And an occasional bee. I'll be looking forward to your plein air post.
