Work in progress

8x10 oil sketch. I wanted to add my artist friends, still lots of color changes to be made. I was out of commission this past week. Caught a nasty bug from the little ones. I will continue to do some more color studies.

  2. You are very good with the impressionistic style. And the little group of figures is so magical, it is something that you must do in all your works, Joan!

  3. Hi there Joan!.... Those young 'uns truck it home to parents and grandparents! Still worth it though!

Nice soft colour as usual Joan. Some bright spots on your artist friends' clothing will certainly add some "pop" to the quiet around them! Good work Joan! Feel better...SOON!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  4. Hi Joan.
Lovely painting my friend. I agree with Bruce regarding the bright spots on the figures. It will make the painting a whole lot better. It`s great as it is but it needs that bright touch. Sorry to hear that you haven`t been too well. get better soon Joan. I have been so out of touch lately that I don`t know whether i`m coming or going. I did manage to go out last Tuesday and did a plein Air painting. there is a story to it as well, so I will post it soon. All the best my friend.
    Vic.
