Meadow Croft Plein Air

Today Mike and I went to Meadow Croft Estate. Wanting to capture the beauty of the golden days. Unfortunately, who was it who said "When you fail to plan, You plan to fail" Oh well, it is after all a work in progress. 6x8 oil on canvas board. It does have possibilities, I will go back and finish this or maybe not.

I was told that in 2 weeks that's when the colors are at their peak. I shall return.

Happy painting everyone.

  1. Love the fall colors in this Joan and to me it has great potential for being a beautiful painting.
I hope you will continue with it.

  5. Well Joan, I`m happy with it as it is but Dors could be right. If you are going to improve it my friend, then make the distant Foliage more cooler and bluish. I could be wrong but that is what I would love to see. All the best my friend.

  6. Hi Vic,

Thank you my friend for your input and yes I do agree with you, but for now I will just leave it alone. I had a better day yesterday at Stony Brook Harbor, I will post. All the best to you.
