My One Dollar Brush

Went to Home Depot to buy tape. Found a bin of bristle brushes. I bought a 1" bristle brush for $1. what a great find.

I usually don't paint at night. But just had to play with my new brush. Tomorrow it is back to Home Depot.

Happy Painting Everyone!

  1. Hi Joanie,

I like this painting, soft muted water and sky against the brilliance of the fall colors. Also, how the branches enter the painting. Very nice work. I am going to check out Home Depot tommorrow.

  2. Hi there Joan!...If this came out of your Home Depot trip... then "You" certainly got your $'s worth!

"You" sure capture the warmth and softness of fall in your recent work Joan... saying a whole lot... with very little! That takes more than restraint! Great work!

Good Painting!... and Happy Home Depot(ing)!HAHA!!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  3. Nice one Joan. I agree with Sue and Bruce. At first my Eyes went strait to that dark fur Tree over on the left but then the foreground twigs brought me back, perfect. Well done my friend, keep going. All the best Joan.
