All In A Days Work

All in a days work. My studies for future oil paintings. Getting all my duck in a row!.

Paulson Farm Wood shed. Watercolor on 140lb. wc paper.

The two are mini's of the same wood shed. Trying to come up with a nice composition, studies from my previous sketches.

The two boat scenes are of the Stony Brook harbor. I did these studies on pastel paper using watercolor . Love this technique, it's all new to me. Of course the ducks and that goose look pretty strange, I did it holding my rotring artpen at the very top and not resting my hand on the paper. Hence the Funny Goose. Happy Painting Everyone!

  4. WOW wish I could draw a goose like that holding the pen way up at the end with no resting on anything.

  5. Hi Joan!... The vitality of these studies reflect the joy that "You" are experiencing in this process of discovery and learning!

Each one takes you another step forward from the last. Together they show great growth and confidence in your Self and your watercolour medium.

Great pieces of work... all of them!

    Good Painting and Sketching!
    Warmest regards,

  10. Oh, Dors, thank you. But I did rest my hand not my fingers. Sorry for misleading when I described how I held the pen. Still lots of fun.

    Have a great day
