Life Drawing Workshop

What a great way to spend a rainy fall day. Today was my first day back to the life drawing workshop. What a joy it was to meet up with the wonderful artist who attend the workshop. Megan the model is wonderful, how she manages the pose and keeps it for longer thank a minute is truly amazing.

Happy painting everyone.

  2. HI there Joan!... You have certainly made the best use of the model's time to record an accurate and pleasing quick study for weach of the three poses shown! Well done!

My personal fav is the middle one... with the weightiness of the charcoal rendering of the torso... contrasted against your "light touch" in the head region! Very clever and effective device!

    Good Painting and Sketching!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  6. Dear Bruce,

I thank you. Life drawing is both difficult and enjoyable. There are no expectations when working from a model, therefore no stress, just fun.

  9. Hi Joan. Sorry I'm a bit late commenting - I keep getting behind on everyone's blogs! I really struggle with figures and that's why I stick to landscapes a lot of the time lol! Your life drawings are excellent. All the best, Michael.
