Meadow Farm

Yesterday we went back to Meadow Farm. A lovely place to paint. I used the opportunity to do some sketching rather than paint in oil or acrylic.

The only sketch I did was the wood shed. Today in the studio with the help of digital photos I have been working at different methods to achieve my desire to do justice to this enchanted farm. My favorite is the shed, still have to work on the roof line. Happy painting everyone.

  3. WOW Joan this group of paintings is really awesome. 1 and 2 has to be my pick. 1 for the grass in the foreground and 2 looks so quaint.

    Fabulous work. xx

  4. How lovely - I really couldn't pick a favourite out of these, Joan - such lovely fall/autumn colours. I do like your foreground grasses/reeds in the top one. Great to see you doing more with watercolour ;) Best wishes, Michael.

  6. Joan - Wonderful autumn colors!!! I like the ones of the house and the woodpile. You were able to capture it without painting in every piece of wood like I'm apt to do. lol I love that place!!! Did you see the little building all the way in the back? I want to go back!

  18. Hi Joan my friend.
Sorry that I have missed you for your last couple of postings. Not something that I like doing. Anyway Joan. Again all lovely paintings and it is difficult to pick out my favourites. I`ll go for the two bottom ones. They really do appeal to me. Keep experimenting Joan, and all the best.
    Vic.
