Peconic Bay

Peconic Bay
                                                                            18x24 oil on mdf

A painting from last summer.  We have such beautiful beaches on Long Island.  It's that time of year when we start looking for nature to put on its glorious show of spring flowers and soft gentle breeze of being outdoors. Yes Vic, it's time to focus a little more on my oils and acrylics.  Happy Painting Everyone.

  3. This is GORGEOUS Joan. I spent many summers near Mill Lane, Peconic, when I was young at my Uncles house and loved every second! I just recently visited it and took many reference pictures for "future" paintings... we do have beautiful beaches on Long Island.

    1. Hi Hilda,

Thank you. I wonder how many times we have passed one another on the road. If you ever would like to join us when we paint plein air let me know.

      All the best to you,
      Joan
