Baby sitting

Baby Sitting
Almost finished
Seatuk Potting Shed
My little ones returned home on Sunday.  Had to post my dog Mac, a shiloh shepherd enjoying my grandson.  He is a gentle giant and has always been great with the grand children.

It was difficult getting back to my art on Monday, but  I continued to work on the Penney boatbuilder painting.  Had a heck of a time applying the paint to the panel.  I used one of those panel boards and didn't gesso and prep the board.  The second painting was worked from a photo I had taken at  Seatuk.  It still needs a bit more tweaking.

Happy painting to all.

    1. Hi Lin,

Thank you for the encouragement. I went out to do some plein air today, it was wonderful, even though I had to set up in the car.

      All the best to you,

  5. My dog is named Mac also! Love the gentle giant. Isn't it frustrating when a canvas won't take paint well? You are doing a fabulous job in spite of that, but I feel your frustration.

    1. Hi Trudy,

Mac is truly a large dog, he is 125lb's and stands almost 30's tall. He is so gentle.

My problem with the panels was laziness. In failing to sand down the panel, the surface was to slick. truly frustrating.

      Thank you for the visit.

      All the best to you,
      Joan.
