I love the shimmer effect in the first one. Not sure I'm describing it correctly, but it feels like the sun beating down and I'm there.
Wow Trudy, what a wonderful compliment. Your visit and your generous words are truly appreciated. All the best to you, Joan
Hello Joan:) Do over? They both look beautiful! The colors are so nice and real. Do you did a great job on the sky's especially the sky in the second painting is exellent! I don't see the haste:) Great job done!
He renate, Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I will move on and leave these two alone. I appreciate your visit and you comment. All the best to you, Joan
I love your top painting. I hope it doesn't need to be redone on a primed support... It's too lovely.
Hi Susan, Oh yes, thank you for the comment, really didn't want to have to do a re-do. I appreciate your visit. All the best to you, Joan
I love the two of them but the first one is really beautiful...such a beautiful beach scene. I think its definitely finished.
Hi Hilda, Thank you once again for the encouraging words, much appreciated. All the best to you, Joan
Hi there Joan!... Redone????... You've accomplished all that you needed to in the first run! You and I will both be long gone... and that pigment will still be a-clingin' to that board! What does it matter for two paintings? Just don't make it a habit... and get on with more exciting plein air stuff!Good Painting!Warmest regards,Bruce
Dear Bruce, Thank you my friend, I am on my way out on Friday. Can't wait for the sun to shine. All the best to you, Joan
Do over? Now THAT would be a waste. These are both lovely. As always, great work.
John, thank you so much, didn't really want to do over. All the best to you, Joan
What a shame because they are lovely. I especially like the top one. Even if you do not have a base I am sure all the paint will stay on. A coat of varnish may help.
Hi Julie, Thank you and yes, I will try the varnish. I appreciate your visit. All the best to you, Joan
How did I miss these!!?? Old age! I just love your seascapes ... but I must have told you that a few times. These are really wonderful (WIP or not)
