  1. I love the watercolour, Joan. The dark of the foliage against the lightness of the park building is very nice and those figures are fabulous! The ink sketch is very nice too. It's so good to get out on a fine day and just sketch and paint and people-watch :)

Really interesting post. The pen and ink sketches are lovely (love other peoples sketch books) and the watercolour is an absolute delight, Joan.

  5. Hi Joan.
Your sketches are always brilliant, but with these ones, you have surpassed yourself. They are fantstic. and I`m sure peaple would love to have them hanging on their wall, I would. I can`t get over how lovely and fresh they look. And the photos, well, they are great also. Full marks here my friend. All the best.

    1. Good morning my dear friend.

Thank you, it's getting easier and easier to sketch or paint around other people. I no longer feel nervous and in fact it is easier to concentrate. Being with other artist helps, everyone is in their own zone and just focused on their work. You and Harry know what that is like, today its off to be with my friends at Avalon Park. Hope you and Harry are out and about. By the way I tried posting on your blog. I better get over to you, to see if it took.

      All the best to you,
      Joan

  6. Hi Joan, I'm a sucker for pen work and think your pen and wash is gorgeous. I really like the watercolour too especially those dark tones which is something I struggle with. Superb work as always.
