Back to the Organic farm and the Pumpkin patch

Pumpkin farm and scare crow
Marlene and me painting at the pumpkin farm
My set up at today's location
Today was a glorious day to be out painting.  My friend and I met at last weeks location. The weather was perfect.  Warm in the sun, but temps in the 60's.

Mike and I had to drive to the Conklin House to drop off two of my paintings for the show this weekend.  Hilda the reception is this Friday at 7pm, if you can make it, it would be great seeing you again.

Tomorrow I will work on my painting at home, it still needs some tweaking.  Happy painting everyone.

    1. Hi John,

Thank you so much for the support and encouragement, it's truly appreciated. Oh yes John, Long Island is very busy this time of the year. All the farms have' Come and Pick your own pumpkins, or apples' signs. The have hay rides and all is very festive. It's truly a beautiful time of the year.

Hope your are keeping warm in England, do you still have frost?
      All the best,
      Joan

    1. Thank you Hilda, oh, babysitting this weekend. I remember those days before my daughter and her family moved. Mike and I use to have them for overnights on the weekend. Many art shows they tagged along, enjoying the treats at the receptions that were held on Sundays. Enjoy the wee ones. But just in case you can make it, it's the Nathaniel Conklin House Apples & Art, 280 Deer Park Avenue, Babylon, New York. It's reception is Friday evening at 7pm and ,it is open on Saturday and Sunday, the work has to be picked up between 3-5.
If I don't see you have a great weekend with your family.

    1. Hi Bruce,

One of those super great days. Weather just perfect. Oh yes, Linus and the whole gang would approve. The pochade I was using, is the Guerrilla French Resistance pochade, it's light in weight only 3 lbs. I patiently await the Keven MacPherson's prochade weighing only 1 lb. The one you have on order sounds really great. Hope you post pictures once you get it, in the meantime, it's time to make dinner.

So in closing I will say yes it is A Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown....

      Happy Painting to you,
      Joan
