Stay Safe Fellow Bloggers

Last Week Short Beach
What a difference a week makes.  Last week Mike and I enjoyed this little inlet at short Beach.  We are now in the midst of a fast approaching storm.  We are all ready feeling the effects, winds reaching 50mph at times and light rain.  The big event comes later today a 5pm into the God only knows when, we are expecting winds up to 90mph.  This will be my last post for awhile.  We will be without electricity for a week or more, that is what we are told.

So once again, we are waiting for another hurricane, this time it' Sandy, it's back to painting by candlelight , and day light.  Another trip back in time, no computers, phone or television.  For all who isn't affected by the storm, Happy Painting.

    1. Dear renate,

I thank you and my family thanks you for your concern. But God was watching over us and we are safe. We did not have to endure the hardship that the poor souls in other locations had to go through. We will continue to pray for them.

      All the best to you,
      Joan

    1. Dear John, my dear friend,
Thank you so much, we were so fortunate, we are located in the center of Long Island. We lost power for 24hrs. and we had winds reaching 90mph but thank God, no flooding or severe damage. When we got our power on, we saw the horrors others had to endure. My God, we have never seen anything like this, complete areas on the Island washed away. John, just say a little prayer for these people.

How are you doing John, my thoughts have been with you and your family. Take care

I thank you so much for the prayers. My son lives in Florida and he knows the damage that can happen. We have never experienced the likes of this storm, not ever. We are all safe and I truly wish I could say the same for the people of New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Beach and the list goes on, please pray for them.
