Thank you for your encouragement. Blogging has helped so much, seeing all of the great work from artist like yourself and getting such positive feed back when I post.
HI Joan!... Great colour and composition... as is always the case! Maybe a few more strokes added to create a three quarters rather than dead on view of the shack (after your pizza run with Mike) might lift this nice "quick" sketch a notch or two... and add further interest to an already very good gouache piece!
Didn't get a chance to reply yesterday. I always appreciate your suggestions, only wish I had better drawing skills to change the view of the shack. We painted at this location and even on site, we couldn't paint from a different view. Thanks again for the feed back on this one, I just posted another building that was on the same farm.
Hi Joan. I love it. It is a place that I would love to go to as a studio. me, wishfull thinking again. I also love your depiction of Foliage, spot on my friend. ( Don`t neglect your Oils). I also like your last painting. I had`to comment on this one though. All the best Joan. Vic.
Good Morning my friend, Thank you. I can add a bird, yes, that I can do. It would help with the balance of the composition. It's so funny you mentioned that you would love this place as a studio, when we painted there, all of my artist friends and myself felt the same way, we all wanted that as our little studio.
All the best to you, Joan, ps, worked in oils yesterday, it felt wonderful.
It`s me again Joan, I have just read Bruce`s comment he is right, just. So a little bird or two on the left hand halfway up would do it. all the best my friend.
Thank you my friend, I will do this one again in oil, and take yours and Bruce's suggestion. What I love about your work is that you add life in your landscapes. I will get crackin on that, thanks again to both my friends.
You amaze me.!!! It doesn't matter what medium you use, your just darn good !
