A Day At The Marina

A Day At The Marina
Mike and I enjoy going to the East Islip Marina during the summer months.  I've painted this same scene before, this time my focus was mainly on the sky and clouds. This was painted on a mdf board, 11x14 in oil.
Happy Painting Everyone.

  1. Another nice serene painting Joan. Your sky`s are out of this world. You could do a series on Sky`s couldn`t you? Well done my friend. All the best Joan.

    1. Hello my friend and thank you for the lovely compliment. Vic even as a child, I loved looking at the sky. It was always a wonder to me, with all the magnificent colors at sunset, or the lovely fluffy clouds that looked like giant marshmallows. Well that being said, must get back to my work.

All the best to you, do hope Rosemarie had a wonderful birthday.

    1. Hi John,

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. I simply love painting the sky, like your countryman Edward Seago, his paintings of large skies has always inspired me to study.

      All the best to you,
      Joan
