Day 2 away from Face Book

Arboretum Farm
Framed
Arboretum Farm
11x14 oil
So okay, not posting on face book is difficult.  On a positive note today I completed a painting that was started last spring.  So on to my second painting.  I will be visiting my dear friends in blog land this evening.  In the meantime I do hope all are healthy and happily painting.

  2. After (again) telling you your work is outstanding, I will say spend your time painting . Facebook is not my thing, I joined some years ago and luckily never got the 'hang' of it. LOL! I never understood if I was posting on 'their' wall, or my 'page'. I tried again some months ago, and then decided I wanted nothing to do with it.. Well guess what? They don't let you out.. It's like the old song "Hotel California"
But what I do , or rather don't do is just not post, not comment , not, not.
Your plein air work is always a treat... Barbra Joan.

    1. Hi BJ, thank you for the support and very kind comment. You are so lucky facebook didn't appeal to you, for some reason I got hooked. It was all about art, not family or personal things. My account was public. But I got so addicted to seeing who would stop by and give my work a thumbs up,realizing that it was just a way of building my confidence.
Now I know the best way to build confidence is through my studying art, which I enjoy so very much. And blogging. Thank you again BJ

  3. Bonjour cher ami,

  4. Joan, a beautiful painting, Lovely frame. That frame alone would cost you a bomb. I agree with Barbra above Joan, leave facebook alone, and get on with your beautiful paintings. All the best my friend.

    1. My dear friend Vic, again I thank you for your constant support. Yes, I said goodbye to my facebook friends and I will concentrate on my blog and my art.

All the best to you, Oh, the frame wasn't all that expensive, I purchased them in a package of 5, they also came with an 11x14 canvas. They no longer have them. I checked with the ASW artsuplly on line site and couldn't find them.

  6. This is a fantastic landscape, Joan!!! The pink flowers finish the painting so beautifully!!!! and the frame is absolutely perfect for this painting!!! I don't contribute to face book but I'm on there only to see family pictures...I enjoy seeing how the children grow in front of my eyes!! Being on face book was how my childhood friend found me after 40 years....today, we see each other at least once a month...That was the wonderful part of being on...but basically, I'm a stalker!!! LOL

  7. Hi Hilda, lol, I think I became a stalker as well. I would keep posting on my blog, and no longer use face book for posting, but every once in a while I like to take a peek to see how my grandchildren are doing. Have a wonderful Easter.

  8. Joan, this is beautiful as are the few before. You have encouraged me to leave more of facebook behind. A waste of time and I can only see what they choose for me to see. Sigh.... Grandkid stalking it is! Thanks.

    1. Hi Jo, thank you so very much. Yes, it seems there are a few artist leaving face book. Marc Hanson, has left and he feels that it does take too much time away from living life. I shouldn't put words in his mouth. When you get a chance check out his views about face book. I agree with Hilda, stalking it is, and painting and posting on my blog. I just checked your blog, your work is beautiful.

      All the best to you,
      Joan
