  2. I love the touch of red. Adds so much beauty to the other colors. Did you place it there for artistic merit or was it already there?
You are so fortunate Joan, to have views like this to paint. I am envious. I guess you are going to continue hearing that from me.

    1. Hi Julie, thank you for the visit and encouraging words. Yes, the boat was actually there, didn't want to get hung up on accurate rendering of the boats, so they were added very quickly without thought.
      All the best to you,
      Joan

  5. Hi Joan my friend.
Wonderful painting. You are painting a lot Plein air, great. That`s the way to see whats there. If the painting doesn`t work out how you want it, you can improve it at home. Not that this one needs that.. all the best my friend.

    1. Hello my friend, you are too kind, yes, plein air is best done as often as possible. I am never pleased with what is done on location. So I have learned to just do the best I can and if I feel like doing another of the same scene I do work from my photos.
It was good to get your e mail today. Still have lots to talk to you about, so get ready for another email. don't worry if you can't get back to me right a way .
      All the best to you,
      Joan
