February Studies

Apples and oranges
From the market a journal entry
wip a study of radishes
from the market, study in w/c
Roses in a glass study
Blue and yellow study
Little Tea Pot and Lemon wedges

Happy March, more snow headed to Long Island tonight.  Keeping busy going to the market
and purchasing flowers and fresh fruit.  I have been working mainly in watercolor this month.
It helps me to switch off from various mediums. Trying to fend off the winter blues.

Well there is hope, spring is just around the corner. Hope all is well with all of my fellow
bloggers.

Happy Painting Everyone!

    1. Hi BJ, you are so kind, but truth be known, no fame, not is this life time. lol. But I am having a great time. I use the Strathmore Visual Journal 140lb. 9x12in. I also have the mixed media journal and various sizes. Great to either just keeping a daily journal or experimental watercolors. Yes, try these journals, they have all different sizes. I usually find them in the ASW art supply warehouse, or Jerrys Artarama. Sometimes, AC moore carries them. Good luck, I know you will like them.
      All the best, Joan

    1. Hi John, you are so very kind, and I am truly honored by your lovely compliment. I like to switch it up a bit, we are once again snowbound and it is nerve wracking so say the least. we are in the midst of another storm. Hope your weather is better in England.
All the best to you, Joan

  6. Joan, great studies!! I see you've been keeping yourself busy painting. I am still trying to get out most days to do some kind of sketch outdoors...mostly snow. I'm on the road now in VA on the way to visit my brother and then off to Myrtle Beach for a wc workshop...hope it is warmer there. Looking forward to plein air outside of my car soon!!!
