From Nurcy's Garden

From Nurcy's garden to our table

Every August my neighbor Nurcy brings so many of her home
grown vegetables . This year she made her home made sauce
from the ripe and delicious tomatoes.

She is a very talented lady and is passionate about her gardening as
we are about our painting. Happy painting everyone.

August Days

Bellport Harbor wip 8x10 oil
Cory Beach gouache sketch wip
Summer Day 5x7 oil sketch
Summer is coming to an end and it has been delightful. These past few days were very hot and humid,
not complaining, for the most part the weather has been kind, without extreme heat or rain.  So that being said I do hope everyone has been enjoying the summer fun of painting outdoors.  Before the days get shorter and colder it is a good time to take advantage of any opportunity we have to get out and paint. Happy Painting Everyone.

James Gurney my Gouache in the Wild sketch rig

My James Gurney Gouache in the Wild Sketch rig
Lake Ronkonkoma , a gouache sketch

I have been fascinated by James Gurney blog, which can be found on my side panel.
I purchased 2 of  his digital videos.  Gouache in the Wild and Water color in the Wild.
He also gave instructions on his previous post on his blog how to make a sketch
pochade that is able to handle a palette and brushes and the 5x8 watercolor sketch pad.
All in all, it's a great learning experience and certainly easy to carry when venturing out
in the wild.  lol.  Well at the Lake we do have geese.
Happy Painting everyone.
