Art with Friends on a Rainy Day

Today was one of those rainy dreary days.  I packed my watercolors and brushes and went to the Smithtown library.  Artist meet there every Tuesday .  I worked from a photo in my tablet.  A photo from Meadowcroft a little shack.  So all in all it was a fun day.

  1. Every blog I read from Europe to the US describes similar weather. The West coast of Wales is no exception.

Glad you had fun at the library.

I'm busy building my boat, and when I'm not I'm heavily into portrait painting of my great-grandchildren - suddenly there's 5 of them (4 generations will be a bit special at Christmas).

    1. John, God Bless you and your family. It is truly a wonderful life when the grandchildren arrive. Mike and I have seven, and they grow so quickly. Enjoy, and you certainly are busy, you are multi talented John and that in it of itself is truly a gift from God. Take care, all the best to you, and yours, Joan

  2. What's wrong with a good oldfashion umbrella, .. although it doesn't should be windy then. speaking of umbrella I've got to fix mine it broke down last week due to the constant soak of turpentine :-(

Nice little sketch tho, it does make me think of work from Keith Tilley:

    1. Rene' thank you for the visit and yes, I think an umbrella will be on my list for Christmas. Weather shouldn't be a reason not to be out there. All the best to you. Joan
