Bayport/ Bluepoint Library my art exhibit

That time of year when my work goes on display for the
month of December.

The library is perfect for displaying my work.  It has the gallery
in the main hall entrance where people can see the work.
Everyone is so kind and it is always wonderful get feedback about
my work.

This year I had a variety of sizes.  Generally I work small
when doing plein air.  But it's alway nice to show my larger pieces.

I also like the odd formats, the atmospheric look of the sky is one
of my favorite subjects to paint.

These two larger pieces were done a few years ago, I don't show the
that often.  Thought they needed an airing.

The tea pot is one of my favorites, it was done last year when I took
on the 30 day challenge.
The larger piece is a 18x24 of Sayville marsh, another favorite place
to paint on location

The smaller pieces, the smallest one on the bottom is a watercolor
that took the longest to paint.  Using the old masters technique of
coating the paper with a gloss medium allowing the erasable surface
of the paper. It took forever to paint.

This was of Hoyt Farm on the Island.  Loved the mud and frozen
puddle , wanted to capture that on canvas.

The LeCluse case is always a treat.  So many people pass by and are so king with there compliments.
It is such a busy time of the year.  The hustle and bustle of the holidays upon us.  My grand daughter will be  over this week to do our traditional holiday cookies.  To all my blogger friends happy painting.
