Happy to be Out Painting

Heckscher Beach Plein Air

It's been a while since I got out to paint.  My daughter and grandson was visiting for the last five days.  It is always difficult when they leave.  Didn't get to see my other grandchildren, they were in Florida.

So that being said, it was important to me just to get out, depression was knocking and I no longer have any tolerance for wasting my days feeling sad.  So here it is, just a sketch, I may go back tomorrow and do another.

I do hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  Happy painting to you all.

    1. Hi BJ, I know we are going through a really bad time. All we can do is try to stay safe, wear mask and keep painting. Our world is so different now, but we artist are fortunate to have our paints and brushes, our tools to take us away on a wonderful journey into new world of our making. Stay safe my friend.

  3. Beautiful painting, Joan. Your plein air paintings are amazing !!! I've been so good...staying in my house...gaining weight, painting fostering a dog and keeping busy....lol My husband's vacation time came and went since our plans to go to Arizona was cancelled ... So much has changed but we have to do the best we can otherwise sadness creeps in and that is NOT good. So I've been back to painting like you (inside..lol) and happy once again. Stay safe....
