My color notes and sketch today
Hello my fellow bloggers, as you can see, it's been a busy and exciting week.  Meeting with art buddies and doing the plein air thing.  On Sunday, went to the Frank Melville Park with Mike.  We walked and enjoyed the wonderful park, managed to do a little watercolor sketch.  So there is so much material that I have collected and look forward to working on larger paintings.

For now, it's just enjoying the glorious spring weather with paint brush in hand, always in awe of what I see.
Happy Painting Everyone!

Art Market Show
Well fellow bloggers, we have been busy here on Long Island.  The two pictures of the show April 13, and 14th.  It was at the Brush Barn and there was a great turn out.  Very talented artist showing and selling there work.  I was also one of the fortunate artist to sell. So it was a very profitable weekend.

On Monday we ventured out to paint the town of Bayshore.  I was intrigued by the little pub.  It was our first time out in awhile, but it was heaven.  I do have plans of finishing the pub.  I will do a larger one of the sketch.  I might have a go at it in watercolor.

But today, gotta say, we were being tested by mother nature.  It was by the water, therefore colder and the wind was saying to us, go home!  But of course Sue and I wouldn't have that and we stayed being there in the elements winds getting more insistent that we leave, hands  getting numb, eyes getting watery from the constant abuse of the unrelenting elements.  Finally my friend Sue's watercolor palette was airborne and the landed face down onto the sand.  My hands were constantly being ravaged by wind and was unable to make definite lines and details. So after an hour or so, don't remember, we decided it was time to give in and leave it all for another day.

Long story short, it was heaven, loved every minute of the challenge  and in awe of the show mother nature entertained us with, the constant movement of water, clouds, and sand.  Happy Painting everyone.  I shall return.
