From Virginia

Still learning how to upload to my  blog
Still don't know what I am doing, but just did a little watercolor sketch to practice uploading.  My little grand daughter Virginia is standing next to me playing with  mini ipad Birthday present. Oh Happy Day just being with my family is enough to put a smile on my face.  I will try to visit all of you in the next few days.  We are going to Florida to see my son and his family.  Happy Easter and Happy Holiday to all.

Watercolor at Play

Watercolor at Play
What I love about watercolor, the freedom and watching the drips run wild.  I should title this one
on the Running Wild.  Using one of my Stu-Art mats that I always have on hand.  Happy Painting Everyone.

Sharing the News

Kings Park Bluff

It was a google thing, don't understand why I am having so many problems with Google and posting on my blog.  Well the good news is that I was able to bring of the link to Stu-art.  I really wanted to share with my fellow bloggers. Stu-Art and the people are so very kind.  When they told me to send a picture of my painting and my web site and blog, I really didn't give it much thought.  Really nothing to lose so happy to see that there only agenda is sharing artwork and bringing more people to the artist and of course to their site.  So there I did it and so very happy when I tackle an internet hurdle.

Stu-Art Supplies is a company I have been doing business for many years.
They are kind professionals who take their time with artist.  I have
purchased my mats and backing plus clear plastic bags for art shows.

Recently they asked if I wanted to be on their web page, free of charge, what they do is show
one of the artist paintings and how it looks matted and framed on their web page Thinking Inside The Frame
and they add the artist web site, blog or Etsy store so that it can reach more people. Hopefully I added
their link correctly.  I know it will take you directly to their home page Stu-Art supplies, then on the upper
right their you will see.  Thinking Inside The Frame.  check it out, really very nice./

Is anyone having problems with google and posting?

North Norfolk beach huts wip
Morston watercolor sketch wip

Worked on two sketches in watercolor, once again using free reference photos.
So much fun to do, especially when I can find the places some of my favorite
artist painted on their dvds.  Brian Ryder, I have all of his dvds. But this idea came
from his book.  While I don't want to copy their work directly from their dvd's or
books.  I do like to try with similar scenes to paint and understand their techniques.

I do however feel it is very important to study directly from life and see
what  develops.  The snow is melting and the weather is warmer so soon we will
be out and about.
Happy Painting everyone.

Just for me

Staithes UK

Had to leave Long Island yesterday, couldn't take the snow and cold.  So, I jumped on the
Google express and went to Staithes.  Needed  desperately to see different sites.  I always
loved  the work of David Curtis and actually other wonderful artist from England.
While I enjoy painting the lovely places on Long Island, wanted a change and a scene
more challenging.  There are so many free photos on google and a joy to paint.
This is a work in progress, and probably won't show it, like I said it's just for me.

Tomorrow, North Norfolk, Edward Seago country.  Happy Painting everyone.
