Playing with paint

9x12 oil on canvas panel
Went to Heckscher Park and to our surprise we had windsurfers. Never before have I seen this in person.
Delightful sight to behold.

The Lone Surfer,
My first day, there was only one surfer.  I set up my french easel in the sand.
It was a very windy day, my determination to just do a sketch, won out and I now have a
painting with the authentic evidence of sand on my panel.

6x6 oil daisies in a creamer.
We have had so  much rain that I had to look around to set up this little still life.
My flowers aren't in bloom, thank goodness I have plenty of artificial flowers .
Not really my first preference, I enjoy painting real flowers.

Good Old Summertime, 9x12 oil on canvas panel.
Missing those warm days at the beach painting from life, had to be satisfied with
photos and my memory.  Also trying a new technique which I absolutely love, great fun.

8x10 still life on canvas panel.
Still painting artificial flowers, this time tulips in a glass jar. Working with a palette knife and brush,
love painting with this gooey stuff.

Well that's it for today.  Do hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  We are all going through a rough time, praying for all those courageous people in the medical professions as well  as the firefighters, police and not forget people in transportation.  May God help us all.  In the meantime, keep your spirit up by picking up your brushes.  Happy Painting Everyone.
